In a historic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharkhand on November 15 to lay the groundwork for the new Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi campus. The cutting-edge campus, which will be located in Sanga in Kanke and will cost roughly Rs 128 crore, will be a beacon of modern education and innovation.

Modern Facilities for Students and Faculty

The new IIIT Ranchi campus has a modern architectural style and will provide excellent facilities for both students and instructors. The first phase of the campus will include a five-story academic structure, a two-story administration building, hostels for 700 boys and 300 girls, important staff housing, a community centre, an entertainment activity centre, and other amenities.

Environmentally Friendly and Technologically Advanced

Thanks to a dedicated sub-station and DG set, this cutting-edge campus will have 24-hour electrical supply. It will also have drainage systems, sewage facilities, overhead and underground tanks, a sewage treatment plant (STP), a water treatment plant (WTP), roads, a VRV/VRF air conditioning system, CCTV surveillance, networking capabilities, fire fighting systems, fire alarms, street lighting, and lifts.

The campus’s second phase will contain additional staff housing, a sports complex, a library, a cafeteria, and other critical facilities. IIIT Ranchi currently operates from three campuses: Namkum, Smart City, and the BSNL Training Centre (near Jumar Bridge).

A Historic Occasion at Birsa Munda’s Birthplace

PM Modi will also pay tribute to liberation hero Birsa Munda at his birthplace, Ulihatu, during his visit. The Prime Minister will commence the Developed India Resolution Journey from here, symbolising the nation’s progress and development.

A New Wave of Development Initiatives

PM Modi will also launch a plethora of development projects in Jharkhand in addition to the IIIT Ranchi campus. Four 500-bed hospitals in Hazaribagh, Dumka, Palamau, and Jamshedpur, urban and rural water supply schemes in Hazaribagh and Ramgarh, a newly constructed building for Women’s Engineering College in Ramgarh, a tribal studies centre at Acharya Vinoba Bhave University in Hazaribagh, and 2,718 piped water supply schemes for primitive tribal communities are among these.

Farmers and Communities Are Being Empowered

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will distribute mobile phones to farmers through the e-NAM scheme, milk to government schoolchildren through the PM Gift Milk Scheme, and houses to beneficiaries through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, demonstrating the government’s commitment to people empowerment.
