Sunil Chandra Dubey has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University in Jharkhand. His appointment was made by the Governor and Chancellor C.P. Radhakrishnan. The notification regarding this has been issued. Sunil Chandra Dubey’s appointment is for a period of three years. It is worth mentioning that currently, Sunil Chandra Dubey serves as the Assistant Director (Plant Protection and Biosafety) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
Governor and Chancellor C.P. Radhakrishnan appointed Dr. Sunil Chandra Dubey as the Vice-Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke. The Raj Bhavan Secretariat issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday. His appointment was made from a panel of three names recommended by the search committee.
His appointment is for a period of three years from the date of assuming office. Dr. Sunil Chandra is currently working as the Assistant Director (Plant Protection and Biosafety) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Dr. Dubey has previously worked as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Birsa Agricultural University between 1989 and 2001.
Dr. Dubey has been actively engaged in various positions at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science from Gorakhpur University and completed his postgraduate and Ph.D. degrees from the Aazad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur. Dr. Dubey has conducted extensive research in Plant Pathology and Plant Protection during his tenure.
His contributions in various fields have earned him several awards, including the Junior Scientist Award. Dr. Dubey is recognized for his research in Plant Pathology, Plant Protection, and other related areas.
