In a recent development, candidates who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) from other states and neighboring regions can now apply for the position of Assistant Teacher in Jharkhand. The opportunity arises through the Jharkhand Assistant Teacher Combined Competitive Examination 2023, conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. This decision comes in compliance with the orders from the Jharkhand High Court.

The state government, following the directives of the Jharkhand High Court, has decided to allow TET-qualified candidates from the national-level Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and TET from neighboring states to be appointed as Assistant Teachers in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission will soon release the link for online applications, as per the decision taken after the government’s directive.

The commission has also extended the examination date to February 10th, which was initially scheduled for January 12th. The detailed schedule of the examination will be published after the completion of the online application process, considering the number of new applicants.

It is worth mentioning that the Jharkhand High Court, addressing various petitions, has directed the inclusion of TET-qualified candidates from outside Jharkhand in this examination. The recruitment aims to fill 26,001 vacancies for the position of Assistant Teacher through this competitive examination. Aspirants are advised to keep an eye on the official website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission for the release of the online application link and further updates regarding the examination.
