The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of 26,001 Assistant Teachers in primary and upper primary schools across the state. All these positions will be filled through the Jharkhand Primary Teacher Combined Competitive Examination-2023.
The last date for application is 7th September, and online applications will start from 8th August. The positions have been specified district-wise and subject-wise. Besides other qualifications, clearing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is mandatory for appointment to these posts.
JSSC issued a notification on Wednesday, providing this information. According to the notification, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational qualification required for the Assistant Teacher positions. However, for some subjects, a postgraduate degree is also necessary.
Candidates applying for these posts must be between 21 and 35 years of age. There will be relaxation in the maximum age limit for candidates belonging to the reserved category.
The selection examination will consist of two papers. The first paper will be of 100 marks, and it will include general studies and English. The second paper will be of 150 marks, and it will cover relevant subjects.
To participate in the examination, candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. For candidates of the reserved category, the application fee is Rs. 50.
Candidates will also need to upload their educational qualifications, experience, and other relevant documents along with the online application.
