Ayushman Bhav Campaign: Jharkhand to Join Initiative, Offering Free Healthcare to Millions

In a significant development, Jharkhand is set to join the nationwide Ayushman Bhav Campaign, which aims to provide free healthcare to millions of people across the country. The campaign will be officially inaugurated by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, with an online event, followed by state-level launches in the presence of Governor CP Radhakrishnan.

The Ayushman Bhav Campaign, initiated by the Indian government, will now extend its reach to Jharkhand, with events scheduled in Ranchi to mark this momentous occasion.

Online Launch by the President

The campaign will kick off with an online launch by President Draupadi Murmu, and after her address, state-level events will be conducted to spread awareness and implement the initiative.

The State Health Department has issued directives to all district civil surgeons to oversee the campaign’s execution. A meeting regarding the same was held on Tuesday at RCH, Namkum.

Acknowledging Health Heroes

In a symbolic gesture during Wednesday’s event, five Nikshay Mitra (TB health warriors), five blood donors, and two Health and Wellness Centers will be felicitated. Additionally, attendees will pledge their support for organ donation.

The Ayushman Bhav Campaign, scheduled to coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17th, will encompass various programs and initiatives:

1. Ayushman Cards for Eligible Beneficiaries

Starting from September 17th, Ayushman Cards will be issued to all eligible beneficiaries.

2. Ayushman Melas (Health Fairs)

Health and Wellness Centers will organize weekly Ayushman Melas starting September 17th. These fairs will provide information on health schemes, screenings for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cancer, and specialized medical treatment at community health centers.

3. Ayushman Sabha (Health Meetings)

On October 2nd, Ayushman Sabhas will be organized in all gram panchayats and wards. These meetings will raise awareness about Ayushman Cards, Arogya Health Cards, and Sickle Cell Anemia, among other health-related topics.

During this event, announcements for Ayushman Gram Panchayats and Ayushman Wards will also be made, with selection based on health indicators indicating freedom from diseases like tuberculosis and leprosy.

The Ayushman Bhav Campaign is set to transform healthcare access for millions of Indians, promoting a healthier and more prosperous nation. Stay tuned for more updates as the campaign unfolds in Jharkhand and beyond.
