Jharkhand government has appointed Avinash Kumar, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, as the additional charge of Chief Secretary. Avinash Kumar, an esteemed IAS officer, will also be responsible for the Development Commissioner and Deputy Managing Director of Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation. He will continue to hold the responsibility of Managing Director of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited.
In another key appointment, Arvaa Rajkamal, the Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given additional responsibility for Home, Personnel, and Disaster Management Department along with Urban Development and Industries Department. Additionally, Rajkamal will also oversee the Greater Ranchi Development Agency as its Managing Director.
Furthermore, the government has transferred two officers in the mining department to take up the responsibilities of commissioners. Hari Kumar Keshari, Special Secretary of Mining and Geology Department, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Kolhan Division Chaibasa, while Bal Kishun Munda, another Special Secretary of the same department, has been named Commissioner of South Chotanagpur Division. Munda will also oversee the Palamu Division as Commissioner.
Additionally, two officers from the Indian Administrative Service have been transferred to new areas to take up the role of Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs). Piyush Singh, the Subdivisional Officer of Dhalbhum, has been transferred and appointed as the SDO of Hesabag until further orders. Similarly, Aashish Gangwar, the SDO of Hesabag, has been appointed as the SDO of Ramgarh.
