9 IAS officers have been transferred, and Rajiv Arun Ekka has once again been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary, a crucial role assisting the Chief Minister. This decision received approval from the President of India, as announced by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language.

Additional Responsibilities for Rajiv Arun Ekka in the Welfare Department

According to a late-night notification from the Personnel Department, Rajiv Arun Ekka, previously the Additional Chief Secretary for Panchayati Raj, has been appointed as a member of the Revenue Council. Additionally, he has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Assistant Secretary of the Welfare Department. It’s worth noting that Ekka had previously served in the Welfare Department.

Ajay Kumar Singh Appointed as Health Secretary

Ajay Kumar Singh, who held the position of Principal Secretary in the Rural Works Department, has now been appointed as the Health Secretary. In another significant move, Vandana Dadhel, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the Cabinet Secretary. Vandana Dadhel will also continue to oversee the responsibilities of Chief Secretary for Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department.

Mast Ram Meena Assumes Charge as Secretary, Planning and Development Department

Mast Ram Meena, the Chief Resident Commissioner of Jharkhand Bhavan in New Delhi, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Planning and Development Department. His vast experience includes leading the Golden Quadrilateral Project in Jamshedpur while holding the administrative position in the same city.

Manish Ranjan Takes Over as Revenue Secretary

Manish Ranjan, previously serving as the Secretary for Drinking Water and Sanitation, has been appointed as the Revenue Secretary. Simultaneously, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Labor Department, has been appointed as the Secretary for Drinking Water and Sanitation. Prashant Kumar, Secretary of the Water Resources Department, has been given the additional responsibility of Administrator for the Golden Quadrilateral Multipurpose Project in Jamshedpur.

K. Srinivasan Assumes Office as Resident Commissioner in New Delhi

K. Srinivasan, the Director of Shrikrishna Loka Prashasan Sansthan, has been appointed as the Resident Commissioner at Jharkhand Bhavan in New Delhi. Alongside his current role, Srinivasan will continue to hold additional responsibilities at the Shrikrishna Loka Prashasan Sansthan in Ranchi. Meanwhile, Kripanand Jha, Secretary of the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Transport Department. Additionally, he will retain his responsibilities as Transport Commissioner.

This comprehensive reshuffling of administrative roles aims to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to various key positions within the Jharkhand government.
