Jharkhand has announced an increase in electricity rates for its consumers. The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission declared new rates on Wednesday, effective from March 1st. JBVNL (Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam) had proposed the tariff hike, which the regulatory commission has now approved.

Step 1: Visit the JBVNL website by clicking here.https://jbvnl.co.in/
Step 2: On the homepage, you’ll find an option called “Consumer Service” in the top row. Click on it.
Step 3: Next, click on the option for “New Connection.”
Step 4: A page will open asking you to log in with your ID. If you don’t have a login ID, click on “New User.”
Step 5: You’ll then see a form-like page where you need to enter your name, email ID, mobile number, and the captcha code to register.
Step 6: After registering, you’ll receive a new username and password. Use these to log in to the website.
Step 7: Once logged in, click on the “New Connection” option in the menu bar. You’ll be asked to fill out a form for the new electricity connection and upload necessary documents.
Step 8: Carefully review the form, then click “NEXT” at the bottom.
Step 9: A new page will appear with a Yes/No option. Based on your preference, click on the appropriate option. Click “Accept” and then “Finish.”
Step 10: The page that opens next should be printed and kept safe. Here, you’ll also find the option to make a payment for the new connection. Click on the “Pay” button.
Step 11: After making the payment, you’ll receive a receipt.
Step 12: Now, you’ll need to wait for a few days. Afterward, electricity officials will visit your home to install the new connection.
