Application Process Begins for Female Supervisor Posts{Jharkhand Recruitment 2023}
Introduction:
After a long hiatus, the Women and Child Development and Social Security Department has issued a notification for the recruitment of female supervisors. This appointment process will be conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. A total of 444 female supervisors will be recruited through a written examination. The application period will run from September 26 to October 25. The application process will be conducted online through the official website www.jssc.nic.in. After submitting the online application, candidates can upload the examination fee, photo, and signature until October 27. The printout of the filled application form can be taken until October 29. In case of any errors in the application, corrections can be made from October 31 to November 2.
Vacancy Breakdown:
As per the notification issued by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, the highest number of vacancies, 187, is reserved for the unreserved category out of the total 444 female supervisor positions. For other categories, there are 101 positions for Scheduled Tribes, including two positions for Primitive Tribes. There are 35 positions for Scheduled Castes, 42 for Extremely Backward Classes (Category I), 35 for Backward Classes (Category II), and 44 for Economically Weaker Sections.
Eligibility Criteria:
To apply for the post of female supervisor, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in one of three subjects: Sociology, Psychology, or Home Science. Only female candidates who have graduated in these subjects will be considered eligible for the application. The selected female supervisors will receive a salary ranging from INR 35,400 to INR 1,12,400.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on a computer-based examination. The examination will consist of a single phase with objective-type questions. Each correct answer will carry three marks, while each incorrect answer will result in a one-mark deduction. Questions for subjects other than languages will be available in both Hindi and English. The written examination will comprise three papers.
Paper Details:
- First Paper: This paper will test language knowledge and will include 60 questions in Hindi and 60 questions in English. The examination duration will be 2 hours, and the marks obtained in this paper will be qualifying in nature and will not be included in the merit list.
- Second Paper: This paper will focus on tribal and regional languages. Candidates are required to choose one language from the specified list during the application process. The examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions and will be 2 hours long. A minimum of 30% marks in tribal and regional languages is required.
- Third Paper: This paper will cover technical subjects and general knowledge. It will include 150 questions in total, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The questions will be divided into technical subjects (100 questions), general studies (20 questions), general mathematics (20 questions), and general science (10 questions).
Important Note:
Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks in each paper to be considered eligible. Those who obtain less than 30% marks in the first paper will not have their second and third papers evaluated. Similarly, candidates scoring less than 30% in the tribal and regional languages section will not have their papers evaluated.
