Jharkhand Initiates Employment Creation Scheme for Job Seekers

The government of Jharkhand has launched the Chief Minister Employment Creation Scheme with the aim of providing financial assistance to individuals in search of employment opportunities. Under this scheme, financial support is provided to individuals between the ages of 18 and 50 to start their own businesses. The initiative was introduced by Neeli Saroj Kujur, the District Welfare Officer of Koderma.

Financial Assistance and Subsidies

According to discussions held with the District Welfare Officer, the government offers loans ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹25 lakhs through this scheme, without requiring any collateral from the applicants. Additionally, the government provides subsidies of up to 40% or ₹5 lakhs. Individuals belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, minorities, persons with disabilities, backward classes, and women associated with self-help groups can benefit from this scheme. Certain documents are necessary for application.

Becoming Self-Reliant through the Scheme

The District Welfare Officer emphasized that by availing themselves of this scheme, citizens can become self-reliant and witness an improvement in their living standards. Only permanent residents of Jharkhand are eligible to apply for the scheme. Applications can be submitted to the Block Office, Sub-Divisional Office, or relevant authority, accompanied by documents such as residence proof, caste certificate, income certificate, age proof, bank account details, and passport-sized photographs.

Mandatory DPR for Loans Above ₹50,000

It was further explained that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) related to self-employment is mandatory for loans exceeding ₹50,000. Once the online application is submitted, the District Welfare Department reviews it, and selected applications are forwarded to the relevant bank for further processing in a district-level meeting, ensuring that eligible applicants promptly benefit from this scheme.
