Jharkhand government’s Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar programme, which aims to empower rural communities, will begin its third phase in Santhal Pargana on November 15, 2023. This project, launched by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Birsa Munda Jayanti last year, has already impacted the lives of nearly 35 lakh individuals across the state.

Bringing Welfare Programmes to Your Door

This ground-breaking programme aims to bridge the gap between government social programmes and rural residents. Its purpose is to bring basic services to eligible beneficiaries’ homes. Birsa Harit Gramme Yojana, Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana, Phulo-Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan, Rozgar Srijan Yojana, Pashudhan Vikas Yojana, Scholarship Yojana, and other schemes are part of the project. Furthermore, under the Jharkhand Food Security Act, the programme seeks to award an additional 5 lakh green ration cards to needy individuals. These holders of green ration cards are entitled to 35 kg of rice every month at a subsidised rate of Rs 1 per kg.

A Step-by-Step Approach to Reaching Every Corner

The programme will be carried out in two stages, the first from October 12 to October 22, and the second from November 1 to November 12. Covering all panchayats in the state, extra attention will be placed on places whose camps could not be organised due to different obstacles last year. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has urged public officials to actively engage with the community in order to maximise participation and the impact of these social activities.
