Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Ranchi this evening, the first stop on his two-day tour to Jharkhand. He will present presents to Birsa Munda village on November 15 and launch a range of initiatives worth approximately Rs. 7200 crore to support the development of the over 28 lakh members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). On November 15, in honour of “Tribal Pride Day,” Modi will begin his day at 9:30 a.m. by visiting the Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Museum, which is located on the site of the old jail. The Prime Minister’s convoy will leave Raj Bhavan and go via Radium Road, Kachahari Chowk, and the SSP home before arriving at its destination. Modi is scheduled to arrive at Birsa Munda Airport around 10:30 am, from where he would take a helicopter to Khunti. After paying respects to Birsa Munda at his birthplace in Ulihatu, he will arrive in Khunti and take part in the ‘Tribal Pride Day’ ceremony at Birsa Munda Stadium at 11:30 a.m. When the show ends, Modi will land back at Birsa Munda Airport, taking off in a dedicated aircraft at approximately 1:00.

A road show is not scheduled as part of the roughly eighteen-hour visit by the Prime Minister. But on Tuesday night, it’s likely that large crowds would gather to greet Modi at a number of the capital’s crossings. Before the Prime Minister arrives at Raj Bhavan, arrangements have been planned to welcome him at several crossroads. Security measures have been put in place to protect the Prime Minister while he travels from the airport to Raj Bhavan, including blocking all intersections from Airport Road to Ratu Road Chowk. Armed police officers and traffic cops will be stationed at every intersection.Having a sufficient number of police officers, one SP, one DSP, and other personnel assigned to every area. Armed soldiers will also be stationed at a number of multi-story buildings along the stretch of road that runs from Airport Road to Ratu Road Chowk.
