A petition has been filed in the Jharkhand High Court seeking the cancellation of the OMR sheets for the 11th JPSC Civil Services Exam Preliminary Examination (PT). The petition was submitted by advocate Neeraj Kumar Mishra on behalf of the candidates Pawan Kumar Gupta, Nisha, Anand Kumar Verma, Dheeraj Kumar, Anju Kumari, Ankit Kumar, Jitendra Nath Mahato, and others on Thursday.

The petition argues that the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has invalidated the OMR sheets for the preliminary examination of the 11th Combined Civil Services Competition citing technical reasons. The petitioners claim that the OMR sheets were canceled purely on hyper-technical grounds, which they believe is unjustified. According to the final answer key, the petitioners have scored more than the cutoff marks.

In support of their argument, the petitioners have cited various Supreme Court rulings in similar cases where the decisions favored the candidates. They also mentioned that in 2016, the state government issued a resolution directing the JPSC not to cancel the OMR sheets of the Civil Services Examination on technical grounds.
