Ranchi, July 14, 2023: The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey, inaugurated the new library building at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) today. The state-of-the-art building has a capacity to accommodate 1500 students and is equipped with modern facilities including a spacious reading room, a computer lab, and a conference hall.
During the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Pandey emphasized the significance of the new library in providing students with a conducive environment for studying and conducting research. He also highlighted that the library will serve as a valuable resource for the academic community in Jharkhand.
Situated on the Vivekananda Central Library campus in Ranchi, the three-storey library building spans over 10,000 square feet. It boasts a well-furnished reading room that can accommodate up to 500 students, a computer lab equipped with 50 computers, a conference hall with a seating capacity of 100 people, and several study rooms.
The library is fully stocked with an extensive range of resources, including books, journals, magazines, newspapers, e-books, and audio-visual materials. Additionally, it houses various reference materials such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and directories.
The new library building is a valuable addition to the CUJ campus, providing students with a much-needed space for studying and conducting research. It will undoubtedly contribute to the overall academic growth and development of the Jharkhand region.
