Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting raids in three to four locations even today. In this sequence, a cash amount of one and a half crore rupees has been seized from the residence of contractor Raju Singh in Ranchi’s Doranda area. ED’s investigation revealed that Rajiv had transactions worth 10 crore rupees in recent days.

In the residence of Ajay Munda, the ancestral home of SDIO Ajay Munda in the Kanke Patratoli area of the Public Works Department, ED raids are ongoing. Ajay Munda had built a new house in Kedal, B.I.T. Mesra, a few years ago, and the team has gone there for investigation. Cash amounting to 35 crore rupees has been seized from locations associated with Alamgir.

It is noteworthy that on May 6th, in Ranchi, ED conducted raids at several locations related to suspended Chief Engineer of the Rural Works Department, Virendra Ram’s case.

In the tender commission scam case on February 22, 2023, Virendra Ram was arrested by ED. Since then, he has been in jail. In yesterday’s raid, ED found 35 crore rupees from locations related to Minister Alamgir Alam in Ranchi.

Sanjeev and Jahangir both arrested by ED. ED raided the residences of Alamgir Alam’s private secretary Sanjeev Kumar Lal and his servant Jahangir Alam, two engineers Kuldeep Minz and Vikas Kumar, and contractor Munna Singh. Late last night, Sanjeev and Jahangir were also arrested by ED. They will be presented in court today, and a remand will be sought.

For questioning, a six-day remand is granted. Now, ED will interrogate Sanjeev Kumar Lal and Jahangir for six days. ED had requested a ten-day remand from the court, but the court granted permission for six days. Both will be sent to jail today. ED will take them into custody on Wednesday.
