Location and Facilities:
Students in Garhwa will no longer have to wander far for higher education opportunities. A multi-story, fully-equipped degree college is set to be constructed in the Meral block of Garhwa district. The state cabinet has approved this project, which will be built by the Jharkhand Building Construction Corporation at a cost of ₹36.5 crores.
The bidding process has been completed, and work on this project will begin soon. Providing details, Garhwa MLA and Jharkhand’s Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Prohibition and Excise Department, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, stated that this degree college will be four stories tall.
The administrative building and the college will cover approximately 1.5 lakh square feet. The college will feature facilities such as a library, discussion hall, indoor sports area, laboratories, computer lab, seminar hall, open-air theater, study lounge, canteen, student lounge, digital library, lifts, and provision for both the principal’s and staff quarters within its campus.
College Details:
He mentioned that the entire college will be under CCTV surveillance. Each floor will be about 40,000 square feet, offering education in the Science, Arts, and Commerce streams. This college will prove to be a milestone in the education of students in Merar block. He added that the construction work of Ranka Degree College is in its final stages.
