Ranchi’s dairy farmers have turned their district into the leading milk producer in Jharkhand. Currently, the district is witnessing a remarkable surge in milk production, catapulting it to the number one spot in the state. A glance at last year’s figures reveals that Ranchi now produces a staggering 2.51 million liters of milk daily, compared to 175.89 million liters in 2016-17.
The dairy production in Ranchi district surpasses that of all other districts in Jharkhand. According to information from the Animal Husbandry Department, Giridih comes in second place after Ranchi, producing 1.90 million liters of milk daily. Dhanbad ranks third, with a daily production of 1.90 million liters. Following closely is East Singhbhum, where 1.78 million liters of milk are produced daily. Devghar stands at the fourth position, contributing 1.61 million liters of milk each day.
