President Droupadi Murmu to Attend CUJ Convocation in Ranchi

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Ranchi on February 28th to attend the 5th convocation of the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ). As the chief guest, she will confer degrees and medals to the graduating students.

The convocation will take place at the Aryabhatta Auditorium of Ranchi University, as announced by CUJ in a press release. The Governor of Jharkhand, Ramesh Bais, will preside over the ceremony, while Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, will be the guest of honour. Additionally, Prof. Nand Kumar Yadav Indu, the Vice-Chancellor of CUJ, will present the university’s annual report.

Established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, 2009, CUJ offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines. The university comprises 12 schools and 23 departments, with its campus located in Brambe, approximately 25 km from Ranchi.

CUJ has garnered recognition for its academic excellence, being ranked 65th among Indian universities by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2020. Moreover, it has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2019.
