Kartik Purnima and Dev Diwali 2023

Kartik Purnima Snan :

Hindus believe that bathing in the Ganges on Kartik Purnima is the same as taking a thousand Ganges baths. It brings good health and purges one of sins from many lifetimes. Goddess Lakshmi is pleased when offerings of food, wealth, clothing, and warm clothes are made on this day along the Ganges river.

The reason behind the celebration of Dev Diwali is that it represents the triumph of good over evil. It is thought that Lord Shiva vanquished the demon Tripurasura on Kartik Purnima. All the gods and goddesses came to Kashi, delighted at their victory. They worshipped Lord Shiva and lit lamps after taking a bath in the Ganges.

Hindus celebrate Dev Diwali and Kartik Purnima as auspicious occasions with great significance. People light lamps to ask for blessings and purification, perform rituals, and bathe in sacred rivers during celebrations.
