GAIL Gas Initiates Industrial PNG Supply in Adityapur, Jharkhand
GAIL Gas Limited has commenced the supply of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to its first industrial customer, M/s Omni Auto Limited, located in Adityapur Industrial Area, Phase 7. Moreover, plans are underway to extend this gas supply to more industrial units in phases 2, 4, 6, and 7.
Natural Gas, known for its versatility, is gaining increasing popularity in industrial applications. Industries necessitate a consistent and dependable supply of natural gas, which can significantly enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Various sectors, including chemicals, food processing, engineering, power generation, and glass industries, are increasingly adopting Industrial PNG. These industries utilize gas for a range of applications, such as heating (boilers, thermic fluid heaters, and furnaces), cooling (absorption chillers), power generation (gas engines and gas turbines), and various processes (dryers, furnaces, ovens, etc.).
GAIL Gas has made substantial investments in laying approximately 300 kilometers of pipeline network across the Adityapur-Gamharia region. The company has already been providing gas to domestic customers in the Adityapur-Gamharia areas and has commissioned eight CNG stations in Adityapur, Kandra Seraikela, Chaibasa, and NH-33, with plans for further expansion.
GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GAIL (India) Limited, is actively involved in implementing the City Gas Distribution Project in Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum Districts of Jharkhand, contributing to the growth and development of the region’s industrial landscape.
