Ranchi’s Butterfly Park: A Haven for Butterflies and Nature Lovers

Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is home to the largest butterfly park in eastern India. The park, which is located inside the Birsa Munda Biological Park, is a haven for butterflies and nature lovers alike.

The butterfly park covers an area of 1.5 acres and hosts more than 50 species of butterflies, including some rare and endangered ones. Visitors can stroll through the park’s lush gardens and marvel at the colorful butterflies fluttering by. The park also has a butterfly museum, a breeding center, a nectar garden, and a host plant nursery.

The butterfly park is more than just a place to see butterflies. It is also an educational center that teaches visitors about the importance of butterflies in the ecosystem. Butterflies play a vital role in pollination, helping to ensure that plants can reproduce. They also serve as a food source for birds and other animals.

The butterfly park is open to visitors from 9 am to 5 pm every day, except on Mondays. The entry fee is Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for children. The park is expected to attract tourists and nature lovers from across the state and beyond.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the butterfly park in Ranchi, Jharkhand. I was amazed by the beauty and diversity of the butterflies there. I saw butterflies of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Some of the butterflies were so rare that I had never seen them before.

The butterfly park is not just a place to see butterflies, it is also a place to learn about them. The park has a museum with exhibits on the life cycle of butterflies and their importance to the ecosystem. There is also a breeding center where visitors can see butterflies being raised and released into the wild.

I highly recommend visiting the butterfly park in Ranchi to anyone who loves butterflies or nature. It is a truly magical experience.
