2925 kg of opium were seized by Ranchi Police on Sunday during a recent operation that involved a vehicle check in the Tamad Thana area. In relation to this case, Kesar Ram, the driver of the container, was taken into custody and is presently undergoing questioning at the Tamad Thana police station. The opium was being transported to Rajasthan and was worth crores of rupees. Police reports state that the container was found to be loaded with 117 bags, each of which contained 25 kilograms of opium.
