CP Radhakrishnan Assumes Additional Charge as Telangana Governor

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan has been given the additional charge of Telangana Governor after Tamilisai Soundararajan’s resignation, as announced by the Rashtrapati Bhavan in a statement. President Droupadi Murmu accepted Soundararajan’s resignation on Tuesday morning.

Soundararajan’s Background and Previous Responsibilities

Soundararajan was sworn in as Telangana Governor in November 2019 and was later given additional charge as Lt Governor of Puducherry. She was earlier a spokesperson of the Tamil Nadu BJP from 2007 to 2010 and has held several organisational responsibilities in the party.
