- The Palamu Express, running from Barkakana to Patna and back, with train numbers 13347/13348, will now have a scheduled halt at Lalgarh Bihar station.
- For Train 13347 Barkakana-Patna Palamu Express, the scheduled halt at Lalgarh Bihar station will be from 12:58 AM to 01:00 AM.
- The halt at Lalgarh Bihar station for Train 13347 Barkakana-Patna Palamu Express will begin from February 27.
- For Train 13348 Patna-Barkakana Palamu Express, the scheduled halt at Lalgarh Bihar station will be from 03:41 AM to 03:43 AM.
- The halt for this train at Lalgarh Bihar station will commence from February 26.
Background:
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Palamu Express used to have a scheduled halt at Lalgarh Bihar station. However, due to the pandemic, the halt at this station was suspended, affecting approximately 30 to 35 villages in the vicinity. Despite the end of the pandemic, the halt for this train was not resumed, despite repeated demands from the local residents, including protests and demonstrations.
