Small Plane Crash Shuts Down Part of Interstate in Nashville

A small plane crash has caused a portion of the interstate west of Nashville to shut down. The incident occurred near I-40 at Mile Marker 202, according to a spokesperson from Nashville International Airport (BNA).

The crash happened near the shoulder of the road, and all eastbound lanes of I-40 have been closed for investigation. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has advised drivers to find an alternate route as the investigation is ongoing.

Fortunately, no vehicles or buildings were hit by the airplane, and there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has diverted all traffic at Exit 201.
