Selection Process: How Candidates will be Chosen
The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the main examination and interview. To be included in the merit list, candidates must score a minimum of 40% in the main examination.
For SC, ST, and female candidates, the mandatory percentage is 32%. For Extremely Backward Class, it’s 34%, for Backward Class, it’s 36.5%, for Scheduled Tribes, it’s 30%, and for Economically Weaker Sections, it’s 40%. A selection list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the preliminary examination, determining eligibility for the main examination.
15 Times the Total Positions: Selection Criteria for Main Exam
Fifteen times the number of positions available will be selected for the main examination based on the results of the preliminary examination. The cut-off score will be decided accordingly. If the representation of any reserved category (horizontal or vertical) is less than 15 times the advertised vacancies for that category, the cut-off will be reduced until it reaches 15 times the vacancies. All candidates who score equal to or more than the respective category’s cut-off score will be included in the selection list for the main examination.
