A case of sexual harassment has been filed against TV producer Asit Modi at the Powai police station in Mumbai. The FIR was filed on Monday evening under sections 354A (sexual harassment) and 509 (insult to modesty) of the Indian Penal Code.
The complainant, a former employee of Modi’s production company, alleges that she was subjected to sexual harassment on multiple occasions. She claims that Modi would make inappropriate comments about her appearance and body, and that he would touch her inappropriately. She also alleges that Modi would threaten her if she did not comply with his demands.
The complainant has also named two other employees of Modi’s production company as accused in the FIR. They are Sohail Ramani, the operation head of the show, and Jatin Bajaj, the executive producer.
Modi has denied the allegations, calling them “false and baseless.” He has said that he will cooperate with the police investigation.
