Arsenal star Bukayo Saka scored his first career hat-trick as England thrashed North Macedonia 7-0 at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Harry Kane also scored twice, while Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips added a goal apiece for the Three Lions, who maintained their perfect start to Euro 2024 qualifying.

Saka, who has been in excellent form for Arsenal this season, opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a cool finish after being played through by Jack Grealish.

Kane doubled England’s lead in the 28th minute with a penalty after he was fouled by Stefan Ristovski.

Rashford made it 3-0 in the 38th minute with a low shot from outside the box, and Phillips added a fourth goal in the 45th minute with a header from a corner.

Saka completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box, and Kane added his second goal of the game in the 73rd minute from the penalty spot.

The win was England’s fourth in four games in Euro 2024 qualifying, and they now have a six-point lead at the top of Group C.

Saka was named man of the match for his performance, and he said after the game: “I’m delighted to score three goals, but it’s more important that we got the win.

“We’ve been working hard in training, and it’s good to see that paying off on the pitch.”

England manager Gareth Southgate was also pleased with his team’s performance, and he said: “I thought we were excellent from start to finish.

“We created a lot of chances, and we took them when we needed to.

“We’re now in a good position in the group, and we’ll be looking to build on this performance in our next game
