JAC Board Exam 2024: Changes in 10th-12th Exam Timetable, No 5-Minute Break; Decision Taken for This Reason
The JAC Board has made changes to the timetable for the 10th and 12th board exams in 2024. As per the new schedule, students will no longer get a 5-minute break during the examination for one session. The exams will now be conducted continuously for a duration of approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. This information has been released by the Jharkhand Academic Council. The 10th-grade exams will be held in the first session, followed by the 12th-grade exams in the second session.

In the first session, the 10th-grade exam will take place from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM. Meanwhile, the 12th-grade exam in the second session will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Previously, the schedule was announced based on the OMR sheet exam, including a 5-minute break between exams in one session.
No OMR Sheet Exam Arrangement
Now that the exam arrangement is not based on the OMR sheet, the 5-minute break has been eliminated, and the exams will be conducted continuously for 3 hours and 15 minutes. JAC has clarified that the 2024 matric and intermediate exams will be held in the same term. The matric exam will be conducted using a question-answer booklet, while the intermediate exam will be conducted through a plain 24-page answer booklet.
